On June 20th, this article in the PilotOnline referred to Ms. Betty Burrell is the Acting City Manager for the City of Portsmouth.

News to me. I didn’t know the Portsmouth City Manager Kenneth Chandler was out of the office.

I’ve heard all sorts of rumors, from he had surgery on his leg after a soccer incident with his son, to the extreme of being asked to step down.

I don’t know what’s up. I really don’t. I do know the last time I saw Mr. Chandler, he had a plastic cast on one of his legs. Or foot I guess. So the surgery aspect may be accurate.

Beyond that? I have no idea. Inquiring minds want to know.
