Maybe someone (Norfolk PD???) needs to initiate an investigation at PETA Headquarters in Norfolk, Va. Because it is clear to me, that short of some sort of mental disorder, these folks must be smoking crack.

Story One: PETA wishes Obama hadn’t swatted that fly during interview
Norfolk-based group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals wants the flyswatter-in-chief to try taking a more humane attitude the next time he’s bedeviled by a fly in the White House.
PETA is sending President Barack Obama a Katcha Bug Humane Bug Catcher, a device that allows users to trap a house fly and then release it outside.
Uh… really now? A humane bug catcher.
Story Two: PETA seeks ‘cow empathy museum’ at site of closing dairy
PETA has an idea for the Pet Dairy milk-production plant that’s closing in August: Turn it into a “cow empathy museum.”
The Norfolk-based animal rights group sent a letter today to Gregg Engles, the CEO of Dean Foods Co., which owns Pet Dairy, asking to lease the building on Turnpike Road.
“The museum would convert a building built upon cruelty into a tribute to compassion and kindness,” wrote Tracy Reiman, PETA’s executive vice
Ok. It must be crack cocaine. I can think of nothing else that could explain these thought processes. The really scary part is they are serious. Absolutely serious.
- I cook steaks on a grill. Just finished cooking half a cow. They taste great.
- I have a bug zapper. It electrocutes various flying bothersome insects and drops their crispy little carcases to the ground where they are unceremoniously eaten by other critters or simply decompose into the soil. I rejoice every time I see my lights dim and know that a critter has been zapped.
- Put the crack stem down, throw away your chore boy and go get help. There are many many agencies available to help you kick the habit. Many for free!!!
- Quit messing with Pat Robertson. Many of his dissertations have crack cocaine written all over them too. Don’t share your drugs with him any more.
