I would love to see the Iron Shields of Virginia, L.E.M.C., Blue Knights, Believers’ Bikers, Patriot Guard Riders and any other biker group who values the sacrifice made by this hero show up and break some bread and help someone.  This officer, along with Deputy Lokie Flythe of the Portsmouth Sheriff’s Office jumped into a situation OFF DUTY and helped bring it to conclusion.  They are both heroes.

On June 1st at about 4PM, Officer Sean Fleming (CPD) was off duty and on his way home.  He came upon a scene in which many fellow officers were involved and shots were fired.

Officer Fleming’s personal vehicle was destroyed by gunfire from the suspect and Officer Fleming was wounded several times.

Officer Fleming is recuperating well but is in need of a new car.  The damage to his car is not covered as a job related incident.  (This I find a bit worrisome but that’s another topic.)

The Deep Creek Ruritans are sponsoring a BBQ Dinner to help raise funds for Officer Fleming.  ALL PROCEEDS TO DIRECTLY TO OFFICER FLEMING.
