Are our judges getting tired of it?
June 10th, 2009 by Scott

I am not sure if that is the case or not.  But if you can take two different cases and a macro view of them, it may appear to be so.

On November 20th, 2007, illegal alien Alfredo Ramos was sentenced to 40 years (16 suspended) for killing 2 Virginia Beach teenagers. (See PilotOnline).

Today, a Virginia Beach man was sentenced to 35 years (5 suspended) for an armed robbery committed in Virginia Beach last year.

Jarell A. Keys, 18, declined to speak before Circuit Judge Edward W. Hanson Jr. pronounced a sentence of 35 years, with five years suspended. A jury convicted Keys in March of six counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, four counts of abduction, three counts of robbery, and one count each of conspiracy, attempted robbery and wearing a mask in public. -=SOURCE=-

Does anyone else see the disparity in this?  One can hope that the judges are getting tougher on the offenders.  Really tough.
