According to the Virginian-Pilot, Senator Louise Lucas, well, her companies anyway, have dropped their frivolous lawsuit against her constituents.
In what appears to be a brief flash of intelligence, Senator Lucas has decided against costing the people she represents tens of thousands of dollars for the city to defend itself against her suit.
Victory Conference Center LLC and Victory Conference Center Hotel LLC filed a motion Thursday night in federal court to dismiss the lawsuit. It was filed in December against Vice Mayor Bill Moody Jr., council members Elizabeth Psimas and Doug Smith, City Attorney Tim Oksman, and the company that runs the Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel and Waterfront Conference Center. -=SOURCE=-
And of course her attorney had to leave the door open to a refiling of the lawsuit. How nice.
