Pelosi lies. I’m not the least bit surprised.

I know my friends over at Bearing Drift aren’t surprised. Neither am I.

…she is determined to use the massive power of the rules committee and her comfortable majority status to shut the Republican minority out of the next two years of legislative history. Is that OPEN?

via Bearing Drift: Why I love Pelosi and Co..

Pelosi and the Democrats have a long standing track record of attempting to “silence” anyone in opposition to them.

Of course, we all remember August 1, 2008 when she shut down the House and attempted to have those Republicans who stayed thrown out by the Capitol Police (the birth of #dontgo, http://www.dontgomovement.com).

At least as far back as June of 2007, Democrats, specifically, Louise M. Slaughter, D-N.Y, Chairwoman for the Rules Committee who blocked access to funds for a website. See: TechRepublican

Ranking member David Dreier of California complained that Democrats are blocking money to create a separate committee Web page for the minority even though the right to one is stipulated in the House administration handbook.

So Pelosi and Co.’s tactics are not new. Nor should they be surprising. In fact, if anything, they should be expected.
