Well, this is a good thing. This allows agencies like mine to start implementing procedures to deal with the storm.
I still have to laugh though. I told my agency on August 28th, when my dad told me to “Watch Hanna“. They actually listened and we have an emergency deployment plan in place. AWESOME!

The declaration authorizes agencies to put resources in place for a response anywhere in the state, according to a release from Kaine’s office. The declaration also calls on the state police, Virginia National Guard and Virginia Department of Transportation to have employees on standby, the release says.
