I thank You for all the men and women who hold the line against evil. I pray, Father, that You will watch over his family, that You will comfort his widow and his children. Lord God Almighty, You are the Father of us all, and this family needs to know that You are their Father, who will love and guide and provide for them. Please bless them with the love and hugs and support of their church and community so they can <em>see</em> Your love. Father, You know the end from the beginning, and You can work all things together to bring glory to You and good to Your children. I ask that You work in this family so that they know Your grace and mercy and love, and so they rejoice in proclaiming it to the world. Receive this officer into Your hands; bless him with Your welcome; and let this brave man rest in Your assurance that You will nurture his family. For Jesus' sake I ask this - amen!
