McCain picks Palin – I now fully support the ticket…

Today John McCain announced his pick for his Vice Presidential running mate…  Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.  I was a bit taken back.

I would have liked to have seen our own Eric Cantor as the choice.  I believed, and still believe that Eric Cantor would be an excellent VP and bring many conservatives on board (like myself) the McCain campaign.  I still have a lot of issues with McCain.

But with Sarah Palin…  a real gutsy move.  She is conservative.  She is a like minded soul when it comes to being “out there”.

But I have to wonder.  Was the choice based on gender?  Was John McCain specifically targeting the disgruntled HRC voters?  I don’t know.  I don’t really care.

I believe I can finally, fully support John McCain’s ticket now.  Sarah Palin brings a conservative posture to the ticket that McCain lacks by himself.  It’s a good choice.

Republican John McCain introduced first-term Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his vice presidential running mate Friday, a stunning selection of a fellow maverick designed to get an edge in the increasingly competitive White House race.  -=SOURCE=-
